Haris Krijestorac – Information Systems Researcher

About Haris Krijestorac

I am a PhD Student in the field of Information Systems at the University of Texas at Austin. My research focuses on the role of Information Systems in online marketing. I am particularly interested in B2B (Business-to-Business) marketing, which has unique complexities due to long sales cycles, high price points, multiple stakeholders, emphasis on reputation, and other factors.

I entered the research world with 4 years of experience in the technology industry in my hometown of New York City. During this time, I worked with companies including IBM, Next Jump, and HubSpot. My career focused on leveraging information systems to synthesize the people, process, and technology factors related to today’s complex world of marketing. Through my experience, I observed industry challenges that would benefit from an evidence-driven perspective. Through my research I am tackling these issues.

I am an alumnus of Carnegie Mellon University, where I studied Information Systems. While in college, I had a band called Mid 2 The East which was a duet of electric guitar and Indian tabla. Table tennis is another one of my interests. I have a rating of 1535 and am on the UT table tennis team. I have lived in Slovenia and maintain a connection with Europe.
